Man Mat has over 50 years’ expertise and innovation to draw upon. Started in 1983 as the European subsidiary of an American creasing matrix manufacturer (which itself started producing creasing matrix in 1965), Man Mat became independent in 1985.
In 1988 Man Mat introduced its SureScore range of creasing matrix and accessories. Setting new standards in quality, performance and value for money, SureScore quickly established itself in the market and has remained an enduring product.
In 2012, after extensive development, Man Mat launched ProCrease an exciting range of film-based all-plastic creasing matrix featuring a unique self-registering locator design developed from our own patented method. It has excellent impact strength for longer life and engineered shoulders for faster, smoother substrate throughput.
The New DIAMOND range introduction in 2016 establishes yet another milestone for Man Mat as the specialty compound and unique manufacturing process used in its structure pushes the boundaries of creasing matrix technology even further.
C&K Extrusions Ltd.: A Partnership of Complementary Expertise
2009 marked an exciting new chapter for Man Mat. Following a takeover by C&K Extrusions in September of that year, Man Mat’s warehouse and manufacturing lines were relocated to C&K’s state-of-the-art facility in Tonbridge, Kent, just an hour away from London.
C&K Extrusions has specialised in thermoplastic extrusions since 1972. It manufactures extruded profiles from a wide range of materials which are utilised across a broad spectrum of industries. It has attained an enviable reputation amongst it's blue chip customers for fast, innovative design solutions and high quality of service.
Together Man Mat’s creasing matrix expertise is married to C&K’s plastic extrusion know-how. For the first time Man Mat’s products were produced in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001:2008 approved quality management system, ensuring better-than-ever quality from the Man Mat products you have learned to trust and depend on.
